Stockholm

Sweden is one of the last unspoilt tourist destinations in Europe. Stockholm, magnificently situated on the water, contains a wealth of works of art in its museums, splendid buildings and a perfectly preserved warship dating from the early 17th century

The warrior kings of this era acquired artistic treasures from all over Europe; they vividly demonstrate the major role that the country has played in European history and art.

Outside the city we will be visiting beautiful private houses in the surrounding countryside, ranging from charming, traditional, wooden structures, to fanciful, French Rococo pavilions and opulent classical villas in the Russian style. The fascination of these buildings is enhanced by a sense of fragility, lying in the midst of the dense Scandinavian forest, still inhabited by wolves and bears.

Hotel: The five star Radisson Blu Strand Hotel has a magnificent waterfront position and is a short walk from the city’s historic centre. All our rooms will have views of Stockholm’s picturesque waterways as well as offering classic design and modern comfort.
